IMAGINE GREENPLAN NEW REVENUE FOR IMAGINE
Imagine Un Limited announces the launch of the "ImagineGreenPlan". An Australian first.
Over the past five years Imagine has been working towards creating the ideal solution to the climate change problem. Recently there has been much coverage of the projected excessive cost to businesses and individuals to become carbon neutral. Imagine has now completed the development of the "Imagine GreenPlan".
This unique product offers to consumers the ability to become "Green carbon neutral" at a reduced cost via bundling a group of heavily discounted essential services and then channeling the gained savings into a carbon offset package.
This announcement crystallizes recent Imagine agreements with GR8 Energy for energy, C02 Australia for carbon packages and the launch of Imagine's own brand of telecommunications.
The Imagine GreenPlan launch coincides with the release of the much anticipated Garnaut Climate Change Review this week, which will change the way Australia does business.
Some key points in the report: . The world is moving towards high risk of dangerous climate change more rapidly than is generally understood. . Mitigation of Greenhouse Gas emissions is therefore more urgent and more costly. . increased knowledge is necessary to end perceived links between economic growth and Greenhouse Gas emissions. . Global demand for carbon offsets increased from USD$30billion in 2006 to USD$60billion in 2007, and is forecast to continue increasing. 2008 is expected to reach USD$90billion.
Australian businesses have an exceptional opportunity to do well in a low carbon world.
The "Imagine GreenPlan" empowers individuals and businesses to off-set carbon emissions by using everyday Imagine utility services. Savings generated in the "Imagine GreenPlan" bundle can be channeled into the carbon off-set program of choice. The "Imagine Green Plan" bundle consists of a mix of telecommunications (landline), (mobile) green energy (Initially in Victoria only), merchant services and carbon off-set packages.
Imagine will offer the "Imagine Green Plan" via its licensed advisors, telemarketing and soon online through the Imagine operating platform, at www.imagine.com.au. Members/customers will easily be able to analyse their essential services usage assess their carbon footprint then automatically select a package to offset their emissions.
This will allow for mass activations of member/customer services, creating new revenue streams for Imagine.
The "Imagine Green Plan" will also become available on the recently launched Imagine OneBill platform, which will provide members/customers the ability to have all their services on one easy to follow bill."
Imagine CEO, Ms. Michele Morrison says "This is a huge step forward for Imagine. The launch of this product was timed to coincide this week with national news coverage of Ross Garnaut's interim report calling for "drastic action to counter global warming" and a climate change survey indicating Australians want to make a difference but don't know how. I believe the "ImagineGreenPlan" is the solution."
This announcement is in accordance with Imagines' commitment to introduce new and exciting products and services, as well as increasing the potential for new revenue streams.
